Children’s play is under threat with fewer playgrounds and shorter playtimes than their parents did!
Chaired by Paul Lindley OBE and Baroness Anne Longfield CBE, the Commission conducted a year-long independent inquiry into the importance of play for children’s wellbeing and how to restore it in England.
As Neighbourly Lab serves as one of 20 expert commissioners on this initiative, our co-founder Harry Hobson attended the launch of the report at the House of Commons which called for the Government to establish a National Play Strategy for England to get children playing again.
The commission have now published their report ‘Everything to Play For’ written by The Centre For Young Lives in June 2025.
